​Who are we?
In 1982, the Tamborine Mountain Garden Club was formed, and from a small fundraising flower festival in the Zamia theatre, an event with a wonderful history began. Open Gardens were later added and today Springtime on the Mountain ™ continues to flourish.
Managed entirely by a dedicated volunteer committee the Tamborine Mountain Garden Club is delighted to present Springtime on the Mountain Open Gardens Trail again for the 42nd time on the 25, 26, 27 September this year.
We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, volunteers and most importantly, our six generous garden owners, who open their private gardens to the public for this special weekend.
Every garden has a story. Wander through, take your time in these beautiful private spaces and discover the ideas, creativity and passion that have gone into creating them, sometimes over a significant number of years, sometimes not long at all.

​Tickets: online for $25 for access to all six gardens over three days or purchase at any garden gate. (cash only).
Individual garden entry: $5 per person cash at any garden gate
Friday only hop-on-hop-off bus: $10 per person (Dependant children and carers are free for both the bus and the gardens)

TRIAL Hop-on-Hop-off bus FRIDAY 25th September one day only .

Cost is $10 per person. (Dependant children and carers are free)
It is recommended you book online now. Tickets are limited.
The bus will visit all six gardens from 9.45am - 4pm in a
continuous circuit.
There will be approx 30-35 min wait between buses. Buses will
stop at the Showgrounds going South and North.

You can start your journey either at the Fortitude Brewing Co. end of Gallery Walk, or at the Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds, Main Western Road.

Can I bring my dog?
As much as we love our furry companions only certified assistance dogs are allowed in the open gardens.
Which garden do I need to begin at?
You may start your open garden trail at any of the gardens and work your way around the trail as you wish
Can I pay by card at the garden gate?
We can only take cash at the gardens. To pay by card you will have to book online.
How do I know where the gardens are?
Please check the map on our brochure for the general area of the gardens. The hot pink flags will be placed outside each garden on the first morning You can't miss them.
Are there any plant sellers?
Yes! Carol and John Kerkin will be at Garden #4 Adamah and Jill Dokter will be situated at Garden #6 Camellia Cottage.
Are there restrooms available at the gardens?
No, however there are public toilets on the mountain. They are indicated on our map in the brochure.
Is there any food available at any of the gardens?
No, but we do have an amazing selection of cafes and restaurants dotted all over the mountain. Please support our sponsors in our brochure.
What is parking like for the gardens?
Parking is on the street and at some times of the day will be very busy. Plan your day with patience and kindness on our mountain roads and country lanes.
Who do you raise funds for?
Proceeds from this well attended event helps the Garden club support both our community and club. We give back to our local charities, our local Botanic gardens, schools, and other worthy causes
